Part 1 - as of 3:30p
This office renovation was killing us last week. We began this project September 2011, and if you don't know what we're doing, here's a nutshell version: closing off an angled wall portion of the bonus room/office; creating a double-entrance closet; and a redeco effort once "construction" is done. The project was put on hold after the framing and doors went up because we yet to begin the drywall stage by the time Sammie was born and I didn't want her breathing in all the dust that it would cause. We were stretching out the work (finishing the walls, shelving, moldings, etc.) for the last 4 months and finally we said enough is enough -- we are knocking this out and giving ourselves 2 weeks to completely finish the project. Completely. So, needless to say we've busted ass during naps and bedtimes and fought with each other the majority of the construction... ya know, all the crappy things that ensue when a couple tries to work on their home together. {Love you, JB} Anyways, we are about 75% done and a day ahead of schedule; hopefully we can do a bunch tonight and make it two days ahead of schedule! Send positive reno thoughts our way and watch some HGTV in our honor :)
Part 2 - as of 11:30p
We can see the finish line!!!! Yes!!! Victory has never tasted so good, especially in the form of plaster dust and paint splatter. Here's our progress as of tonight {and keep in mind that we lost power for about an hour and worked with a mag light}. Tomorrow's plan for me is to do all the tedious stuff: more cleaning, more organizing, and probably even more cleaning. Yay...? Hopefully Jason can finish the quarter-round tomorrow night so I can officially start redecorating. This project needs to be DONE by Saturday!
