Daylight Savings

Yesterday was Daylight Savings and although it used to always throw me off as a kid {or college "kid"}, it doesn't seem to bother Matt and Sam.  Lucky for me Jason let me sleep in as long as I wanted while he spent the morning with them.  I finally got my butt up around 11a and wanted to spend as much time outside as possible!  We headed over to the plane park after lunch at home, although Jason and I talked during the ride over that it may not be very busy on the runway being a Sunday and all.  But we were wrong -- the runways were busy!  They were either landing or taking off about every 2-3 minutes, and with the wind gust going pretty good it was crazy seeing the little ones teeter side to side as they lifted off.

After that we went over to the zoo for their last 2 hours open for the day.  What a great time to go!  The animals were extremely active and the crowd was minimal!  We ended up eating an early dinner at the cafe, and surprisingly the food wasn't half bad {we had chicken fingers with sweet potato fries and applesauce}.  I'm lovin' walkin' in for free with our new membership!

The pretty {and smelly} flamingos!

The bush dogs came running over to us when we walked up!

The tiger came right up, too!  We were the only ones there and he walked up to the glass and licked it! {Even Sammie's watching him!}

 Matt loves giraffes cause they're tall like him
